William Moore (6 October 1894 – September 26, 1968) was an English footballer who played as an inside left. == Career ==
Moore was born in Newcastle upon Tyne and played for Sunderland, where he partnered Henry Martin on the left, having previously played for Seaton Delaval. Moore played for West Ham United between 1922 and 1929. He was an ever-present in the side that won promotion back to Division One in 1922-23, and played in the famous White Horse Final of 1923. He received full international recognition with a game against Sweden on 24 May 1923, scoring twice in a 3-1 victory, adding to the England Amateur caps he'd previously gained against Belgium, Denmark and Sweden. Moore stayed at West Ham to become assistant trainer after his playing career ended in 1929. He was promoted in 1932, and stayed at the club as trainer-in-chief until his retirement in 1960.
